Allied Glazing Systems has been awarded the contract to design, manufacture and install the doors, windows, curtain walling and roof window to a Low energy  domestic build near Ripon, North Yorkshire.

Each element of the high spec build for the new dwelling will meet specific thermal and energy performance  Standards so that it’s environmentally friendly, making best use of the ‘passive’ influences in the building; sunshine, shading and ventilation as opposed to active heating systems.

Designed by architects Blue Avenues, the house will offer superior interior comfort with consistent temperatures throughout thanks to its innovative design. The orientation of the house, along with the location of windows, has been carefully planned so that it can make the most of the natural sun and shade throughout the day.

Schüco doors, windows and curtain walling systems have been specified for this project due to their aesthetics and high thermal performance. All triple glazed and Passivhaus certified, the systems will help the building to meet the world leading energy efficient standard. The project was recently awarded a high ‘A’ rated EPC certificate (98/100)
